New Beer at Pub Dog

Via Midnight Sun: Pub Dog's new beer will be called "Melon Dog". Iiiiiiinteresting.

The most recent melon beer I think I've had was a watermelon at 21st Ammendment in San Francisco, where they actually placed a small watermelon piece on the rim of the glass. It was decent for a few sips before losing much of the melon flavor. Enjoyable but more novelty than great beer.

Hopefully Pub Dog's efforts prove worthy.

Rumor

Or overheard, not sure if this is rumor or final or what, but I heard Chicago's Goose Island beers are making their way to Maryland in bottle form.

Beer Rumor

We hear the former Tiber River Tavern in downtown Ellicott City will be reopened under new ownership and be called the Diamondback Grill. There will be a strong Maryland theme in the menu and taplist. I've heard they'll have something like six taps potentially featuring Maryland natives Clipper City and Flying Dog, and maybe another handle for Stone mixed in there.
