Ballast Point Sculpin
Someone needs to step up and make a beer like this in Maryland. A first-rate flavorful double IPA that just makes you cry when the bottle is empty.

I've heard good things about Sculpin and Ballast Point other beers as well. I was drawn to the brewery namely because all the beers named for sport fish.
I also like that is is 'low ABV' like Loose Cannon.....so you would not get Steve McKenna'd (as quickly).
Not to sound cynical, but why stop at sculpin (which I agree is delicious, and thankfully can be found without too long a drive up in Harrisburg)? How about making something comparable to Pliny (younger and/or elder), hopslam, nugget nectar, mirror mirror, KBS, CBS, abyss, kate the great... obviously, the list goes on and on.
Breweries like Flying Dog, Oliver's, Brewer's Art and Clipper City all make very good beers, but in my humble of opinion, none of them can hold a candle to the beers listed above.
So I agree. It would be very nice if there was something made in Maryland that, qualitatively, was the equal of Sculpin (and all the other beers listed above).
