Last Thursday was Flying Dog's monthly 'Bitch Session' and was held at Elliott's Pour House in Canton. Bitch Sessions are Flying Dog's way of hosting a rotating monthly (first Thursday of every month) local event. The BS's are usually held in Frederick, Washington D.C., Philadelphia, New York City and somewhere in Maryland.
Elliott's was a fine choice and fine host, serving up three Flying Dog beers: Raging Bitch Belgian IPA, Garde Dog Biere De Garde and In-Heat Wheat. Flying Dog rep Matt Crow was on hand as well as seemingly all but a few of the area's beer writers. It was nice to sit back with some really good, fresh beers and enjoy a bar I wish I visited more while talking beer and whatever else with friends and peers.
For the curious, the next Bitch Session will be on Thursday April 1st (not a joke) at Columbia's Frisco Grille. The beers are still TBD but potentially there could be multiple firkins and there will definitely be the unveiling of Flying Dog's next super secret one-off beer. I'll speak with the Frisco Grille folks and see if anything else is planned as well.
And as for Elliott's I've been meaning to post a few pictures and say a few good words. As a beer geek I've really enjoyed the place both visits, they have a 20 tap tower, a long bar, a pool table, a couple TV's and that's about it. Its simple and they feature quality beers at some amazing prices (check out the happy hour). Its a cool, casual vibe in Canton near Brewer's Hill and definitely worth a visit when in the area. Parking nearby is also painless and plentiful so don't let that be a worry.

And most importantly - a Nacho Mama's delivery menu behind the bar!
Fun night, as always.
Dude... your camera needs a flash. BADLY.
